When I was wondering how many one years are there in one person's life，what I've got from GAC Center has given me the answer that is this year is meaningful. What I want to achieve in GAC Center is fairly straight forward that is applying for good universities, studying preparation courses in order to adapt to the western education and improve English skill. What is 9-month time meant to be? To ordinary students in university, 9 months are just another two semesters; to Grade 3 students in high school, this must be the hardest time ever in life. However, I have a totally different 9 months in GAC center. During this period, I got to know so much knowledge that I've never heard before in high school, I made so many friends from different cities that perfect with each other, and what the most essential thing is, I witnessed the whole progress where my dreams come true. I see my self-improvement, I realize I am getting closer to my goal inch by inch, and I also learn where my future is. I wanna say thanks to all the faculties in the centre, because of you I realize I am the one who can really make something unbelievable happen. 感言：My name is Huang Ruichen, my English name is Michael. I graduated from No.3 High School last year, I came to the GAC center afterwards in September 2007.
The life here is excellent, I have learned a lot. The purpose of coming here is to change my mind and adapt to the study style of western universities which is quite different from Chinese education. The courses are useful to me, such as study skills, communication and business etc.
Although some issues exist during this period, our facilitators urge us to adopt some instrumental approaches to overcome the difficulties we face everyday. Modern devices such as computers facilitate our work effectively as we can search the material on the internet. Moreover, the cardinal rule here helps me to get familiar with the rule of western universities.
